EXPERIENCE

I have worked as a Yoga Teacher at One Yoga Saskatoon, Ground Yoga, Breathe Cycle & Yoga, the University of Saskatchewan, One Yoga for the People Vancouver, One Yoga Kelowna, and Global Fitness.


TEACHING 

My yoga journey first started in 2006. In 2015 I completed my first RYT 200 course in Phoenix, Arizona, and have since completed various training with Vinyasa Yoga for Youth (95 hrs), Lifestyle Meditation (25 hrs), Ryan Leier (200+ hrs), Father Joe Pereira (25+ hrs), Eddie Modestini (12 hrs), Srivatsa Ramaswami (100 hrs), Carolyn Anne Budgell (10+ hrs), Nicki Doan (15 hrs), and Tina Pashumati James (12.5 hrs).


EXPECTATIONS

My classes will lead you through a mindful practice of breath awareness and varying options for yoga asana. You can expect sun salutations, standing postures, balance poses, backbends, forward folds, inversions, twists, and rest. I will incorporate yoga philosophy and meditation as a tool to explore the self, practice stillness, and ‘catch the calm’.


FAVOURITE SUTRA

Yoga Sutra 1.3 Tada drashtuh svarupe avasthanam

In yoga, stillness is known as samadhi. Cessation of the fluctuations of the mind. The mind, like a perfectly clear crystal, with no obstructions to the light. In this state, the truth can be understood without disturbance. Yoga is getting to know the TRUE NATURE of the self, self-realization, or enlightenment.
